The Black Forest is a rural community, popular with horse lovers, that is nestled among towering pine trees just outside of Colorado Springs. This page provides a brief overview of the Black Forest. It also contains a running list of real estate market analysis and trends using data that I pulled from the Pikes Peak Association of Realtor’s MLS.

About the Black Forest, El Paso County, Colorado
The Black Forest area encompasses 127.5 square miles, 81,600 acres, of rolling terrain. There are multiple subdivisions within the Black Forest. Most of the homes are 5 acre lots. Those with open meadows or along the edges of the forest, have incredible views of the mountain range, rock bluffs, valleys or the Eastern Plains. The view simply depends on which part of the Black Forest are that you are in.
The Black Forest feels private and secluded. Yet, home owners are just a few minutes away from the shopping, restaurants and entertainment venues in Colorado Springs and Monument. The Black Forest area is also home to the Black Forest Regional Park, Black Forest Section 16 trails and open space, the Pinery Open Space and numerous social trails designed to connect the different neighborhoods. The Black Forest Regional Park and Black Forest Section 16 each have 4 miles of multi-purpose trails for hiking and horseback riding. Once the Pinery Open Space is open to the pubic, it will also have trails for horseback riding available. If that is not enough, the nearby Fox Run Regional Park also hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. There are miles and miles worth of multiple purpose trails to explore, relax and unwind on within minutes of the homes in the Black Forest.
